My name is Irma and my husband is Tapio, better known as Tibi. We live in Helsinki by the sea. We have four children: Sebastian 26, Serena 24, Simon 17 and Samuel 16 yrs.
All our dogs live in the same house with us. We live in a militarized area and it comes often quite handy because the puppies can hear shooting and other noises almost all the time.
The sea is only few meters from our house, so in summertime we and the dogs can go swimming on our beach.
In winter when the sea is frozen we can skate and ski.
When we started breeding we did a lot of training with our dogs, but after few kids it became less important and afterwards we left trainings to the owners of our puppies. In 1971 I was one of the founders of the Belgian Shepherd Dog Association of Finland and afterwards I was a member of the clubs breeding committee over twenty years and Serena is now continuing as the member of the Comitee. Tibi was the president of our association for three years and already in 1979 he got the jugdelicence to test dogs. He has tested over 1100 working dogs and over 200 belgian shepherds.
Nowadays Tibi`s favorite hobby is golf, but for me and my daughter Serena, breeding is the most important hobby. Our boys live in the world of football and floorball.
